Yours Truly Cafe For Dachshund Lovers! All Breeds Are Always Welcome!

Our first real companions (besides our children and grandchildren) had been English Budgies and cats and then a wonderful male Hungarian Kuvasz we rescued that weighed 125 pounds! What a change is all I can say to where we are now. Miniature Dachshunds you say? And some say it with a snicker, honestly we have found a truly exceptional breed of dog and being middle age and kind of a macho man I originally just could not see me with a Dachshund.
Heaven Forbid!
My beautiful wife Karen convinced me these were a great breed and we should have a look. Well I will leave it to your imagination and just say that we got
"Hershey" (our mini chocolate long hair) from a breeder whose reputation is quite tarnished at the moment however he is a sweet dog I would never give up for anything.
Well this changed! It is simply amazing how being married 27 years can weaken a mans objections when it comes to something his wife wants. We found a wonderful breeder named
Eva from "Tiny Tails Ranch" in New Hampshire and added
"Jesse" to the mix.
We love our pets like our children and grandchildren and therefore we searched diligently to provide the very best for them and hopefully find a way to pass around resources to other Dachshund lovers (or other breeds) and fill a void we see with current affairs going on around us. As we learn of them (and we will take suggestions from all of you) we will add continually to this website to have multiple free and paid link pages. Animal Rescue groups, articles on food and nutrition, vet care, local resources, possibly a section for pet item exchanges in select local areas for those that love their companions but may be facing a financial hardship, I am certain many people would love to help out! You name it we want to make this a full resource valuable content website and hopefully build a following thousands strong!
This Website is dedicated to our beloved "Ally" 1999 - 2004
Ally (a smooth red miniature Dachshund) was brought into our family in 1999. In July of 2004, Ally rapidly developed a condition known as IVDD and after an unsuccessful surgery, we lost her.
Just a thought

--- "Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this."--Anonymous--
Some Words of Advice from people who have felt the pain and financial Burdon we have faced!
When we brought Ally into our home, we were unaware of the greater risk of genetic defects inherent to puppy mill pets. I wish we knew then what we know now. These puppy mills are all around us. Ally was indeed a puppy mill dog disguised as a
"how much is that doggy in the window". While she provided great love and happiness to us, her end was not pleasant. Her pain, lots of love and prayer, thousands of dollars, and then heartache. You do not have to face what we have. We respectfully ask that you consider not purchasing a dog or cat from a pet store without fully researching it for this reason.
We encourage you to seriously consider the adoption or rescue from a reputable shelter or animal rescue league. You will find many fine companions are available as we did with our companions. There may also be a qualified breeder in your area. Both options will have an experienced staff on hand to assist you in making the best fit for your lifestyle. This is a decision you will not regret later we assure you!
A pet is for life and ALL pets deserve a GOOD home!

As responsible owners of our pets, friends and companions for life we should consider this our duty and it is
SIMPLY JUST THE RIGHT THING TO DO! So help stop the overpopulation of unwanted pets of all types. Please Spay or Neuter your pet!

Hershey - Our Mini Chocolate Long Hair Dachshund

This is
"Hershey" who we got several years ago from someone that has made the news as of late in not a positive way. Fortunately for us he is very healthy and is a sweetheart. He has turned into my best friend!
Jesse from Eva at Tiny Tails Ranch - Thank You!

This is
"Jesse" who we got awhile back from
Eva at
Tiny Tails Ranch in New Hampshire. She is a GREAT breeder and a very nice person. If you are interested in a good companion Dachshund, we do not hesitate in recommending her. Jesse Jane is a wonderful girl and if it were not for the rare bark and climbing onto our lap we would not know she was here! What an exceptional dog! Thank you Eva!
